Didn't follow every game tonight, but here is a quick review:

Pitt wins 39th straight game @ home.

Va Tech beats #23 Providence 69-57, snapping a 5-game losing streak. Va Tech was a 7-8 point dog, yet they led 27-26 @ halftime and then ran away with the game early in the 2nd half. This was Va Tech's first win over a ranked team this season.

NC State beats Wake 73-68, despite trailing 46-30 @ half. Wolfpack cover the game (-2) and 2nd half (-5).

Northern Illinois hangs tough with Kent St, covering the game (+7) and 2nd half (+4.5).

Seton Hall (a big sleeper in the Big East) travels to West Va as a 4-point favorite but loses outright, and it was never really close.

Virginia was down 43-36 @ half to Maryland, but took a quick lead in the 2nd half and then stuck around for a 71-67 loss. They covered the 2nd half (-1.5) and came close to the game spread (+3, 3.5, 4).

Memphis was down 37-33 @ half to Lville. Then they were down 44-35 before finishing with a 27-11 run. Memphis covered the game (+2) and 2nd half (-1).

Georgia led Miss 24-23 @ half, then destroyed them 40-28 in the 2nd half, covering game (-5) and 2nd half.

Conclusion? Make a habit of browsing the 2nd half lines, you can get some good value on the home team when the game is close @ halftime.
